The Shakapa or Chakapa is an ancient Shamanic tool made from a bundle of leaves used for healing.
Ceremonial Sound Practitioner’s Rene’ Jenkins and Janet Janay Cipriani will guide the construction, and demonstrate the many metaphysical attributes of this ancestral instrument.
We will have some fun by first demonstrating the ancient instrument’s use within a mini-sound healing experience.
We’ll also:
- Discuss the approach of gathering your bundle from a prayerful “listening” state.
- Oversee the physical construction, binding, etc. Attendees are welcome to bring their own personal binding materials. (i.e. cloth, leather, etc)

Explore chanting, singing, and rhythm for healing with altered-states of consciousness.
