Corporate & Other Groups
I have been sharing the beauty and power of sound healing with public & private schools, healthcare industries and special groups around the country since 2003. Sound blessings perhaps describe best what I do. Clients receive multiple benefits by relaxing and re-energizing (if they choose to let go into the experience), or simply be entertained by the sounds of the many ancient indigenous instruments played around and upon them. Participants most often regard the sound healing experience to be the highlight of their conference or retreat.

Client Stories
Working with Children Through Bread & Roses
Children streamed quietly into the sunny room, sitting shoulder-to-shoulder, cross-legged in tight rows on the floor in front of the stage. “Hola! Hello!” Eyes bright with curious anticipation, these young 4-5 year old bilingual students glanced excitedly at each other and the assembled instruments of world civilizations ancient and modern. René Jenkins, an accomplished “pied piper” of the heart, drew them into the performance with the haunting sounds of a didgeridoo speaking initially in a mesmerizing drone evolving with pulsed breath into a swirling dance as the melodic rhythm overtook the room. He shared with them how he learned circular breathing and demonstrated how this breathing was used to make continuous sound. Walking through the audience, children parted and swirled like shafts of wheat around his feet, giggling excitedly, as he gently allowed them to experience the sound vibration around them. He had them at didgeridoo!
Sound Healing at Sound Quentin
It was my 2nd time playing for the men inside San Quentin prison this last Sunday, From the checkpoint guards to the 40+ inmates, I was received with respect…graciously, in fact. The men were thoughtful, receptive and deeply moved by the work. They had many many questions, and philosophical inquiries. -And once again, I am left pondering the humanity of our social “in-justice” system. Not saying it’s ALL bad, but to say it’s “really broken” is an understatement. Personally speaking, after awaiting a trial for the murder of my sister (still pending after 7 years!)–showing up to invoke “nurturing-healing energy” in a prison gives me stretch marks in ethics! Not because it was difficult to find compassion or empathy for their situation, but because it was really easy to see their humanness. Perhaps it’s easier when I don’t see “the whole story”, but regardless, I’d say a REAL spiritual intervention occurred for everyone involved. Bread & Roses Lisa knows all about it since she’s set it (me) up each time…the Warrioress, that she is! –And strangely enough, I look forward to the next time.
